November Newsletter

Dear Champagnat Families,

I hope this letter finds you well and good spirits as we begin our Holiday Season with Thanksgiving right around the corner. As I stated in the last letter we are working diligently at Champagnat to enter into a partnership between the school and the students home, in doing so we had our very first “Cafecito Club” in which we sat down with a number of wonderful and enthusiastic parents to collaborate and brainstorm on future activities, events and fund raisers. I was pleasantly delighted to see such great participation and wonderful ideas that were shared by all. I would like to thank all those who participated and encourage more of you to join us for our next one which will be held Wednesday, Nov. 30th @ 9:00 a.m. I look forward to meeting you and continuing to work together. Through your willingness to support your son/daughter and our school we will make great strides and help our students have successful and meaningful educational experience as well as build a social community.

As previously mentioned we started with a new “Lunch” catering company which has been a success due to their delicious food.

As we continue to turn the page of the calendar to a new month I would like to inform you of some upcoming events.

The month of November has been a month of National and Global Mens Health Awareness aka “Movember”. Monies collect through this charity go to all types of “Mens Health programs but in particular to Prostate Cancer. During this time different organizations raise money throughout the month to make a donation to the “Movember” movement. For the past several years Champagnat has participated and contributed to this very important cause, in doing so we encourage our students not to shave during this month(only) and for everyday the students do not shave we collect $1 and donate it at the end of the month to the “Movember” Foundation.

As a reminder please continue to check your emails and Reducer to be informed of all things pertaining to school and your son/daughter.On a sad note, Champagnat unfortunately has lost one of its family members. Mr. Galdi Diaz our baseball coach and father to our student Egadier Diaz passed away this past weekend. We extend our deepest sympathy to Mr. Diaz’s family; our thoughts and prayers are with them.
It is through times like these that we realize how precious life is and how we need to not take things for granted and take this time to reflect and be thankful/grateful for all your blessings!

Best Regards,
Mrs. N. Sanchez
